The New Yorker Editorial Illustration

In 2019, I had the pleasure of creating an illustration for The New Yorker as part of the Shouts & Murmurs humor column. The article, titled Things I’m Not Old Enough for Even Though I’m Definitely Old Enough to Be a Parent by Mary Cella, was a witty take on adulthood, filled with reflections on furniture, dogs, and unexpected life choices.

For this piece, I illustrated a fashionable woman walking a Labradoodle, capturing the comedic contrast between youthful trends and the responsibilities that come with growing up. The art direction for this project was led by Sebit Min, who helped bring this humorous scene to life.

The article’s playful tone paired with my illustration aimed to visually enhance the narrative about navigating adulthood's contradictions. You can see the final artwork here, alongside other editorial works I've done.
