Naver Special Logo Illustrations for Seol-nal (Korean Lunar New Year)

For one of Korea’s most significant holidays, Seol-nal (Lunar New Year), I had the pleasure of creating three special illustrations for Naver’s logo. This project highlights beloved Korean traditions that bring families together during this festive time.

DAY 1

Saebae (세배): The formal bow and greeting performed by younger generations to elders, a cherished moment of respect, blessing, and receiving well wishes for the new year.

DAY 2

Yut-nori (윷놀이): A traditional Korean family game played with four wooden sticks, symbolizing unity and fun. Families gather to compete and share laughter during the holiday.

Yeonnalligi (연날리기): The time-honored tradition of kite-flying, symbolizing hope and excitement as people fly kites high in the winter sky.
